Harvey Nash is expanding its world class wireless R&D division- Nash Technologies based in Europe- into Vietnam. The Vietnam-based team will work on the development and testing of telecommunications equipments and software for the new 3G mobile phone networks that are being implemented worldwide. A key objective of the initial project is to transfer telecom knowledge and technology from our centre in Europe to their Vietnamese team mates. The technology transfer aims to build leading-edge capabilities to the project teams and to ensure the Harvey Nash Vietnam competencies to be ready for outsourcing projects in telecommunication industry worldwide.
Nash Technologies, a world class wireless R&D Company, will take on over 100 engineers in Vietnam to add to its 160+ engineers in Europe. Nash Technologies has a large, over 1,000m2, wireless laboratory in Europe fitted out with all the very latest equipment and technology, and much of this will be replicated in Vietnam.
The Division whilst initially working on existing contracts will also carry out work for other international telecommunication clients.

Job Description
The Software Engineer is responsible to write software programs from detailed design specifications, plans, execute and document unit tests; report status and issues; accountable for unit test leakage.
Duties:
•To write software programs following detailed design, specifications or instruction from Project Manager/Technical Leader.
•To write software programs with high quality and to be complied with established coding standards of the company, and/or project.
•To design and to execute test cases for assigned tasks and ensure all cases tested and passed before release for testing
•To process tasks assigned by PM/PL, to provide feedback and fix bugs
•To help clients with technical support
•To be self-trained on new technology
•To obtain professional certificates if requested
•To follow company’s policies, software development processes and systems complying with CMM standard, and customer’s process if requested.
•To report work progress status to Team Leader or Project Manager.
•To perform other tasks assigned by the Line Manager/Project Manager/Technical Manager.
•To attend all regular meetings of the assigned projects.
•To support Team Leader/Project Manager reviewing project’s work products to ensure quality.
•To perform pre-sale support as required.
•To attend all regular meetings related to production.

Job Requirement
1.1 Education & Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Sciences, or equivalent; preferably telecom/networking/embedded programming subject.
- IT knowledge-base, and current IT technologies
1.2 Experience
Experienced with C/C++ programing language, development tools and techniques.
2+ years for Software Engineer Level
1.3 Entry requirements
- Good knowledge of IT field
- Good knowledge about OOD/OOP, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experienced with C/C++ programming language.
- Familiar with using UML.
- Experienced with UNIX OS; such as Linux, SUN Solaris, etc.
- Intermediate level of English BULATS, or equivalent.
- Good analytic thinking, good problem solving skill.
- Passionate in software development.
- Analytical skills and systematic methodology.
- Communication, dialogue and cooperation skills, customer orientation.
- Conscientiousness, problem solving ability.
- Design strength, personal responsibility, willingness to learn.
- Willingness to travel.
- Fluent English written and spoken.
